A variety of restaurants await visitors to historic downtown Santa Fe. Establishments range from fine dining to casual, relaxed cafés and fit any budget or lifestyle.

Downtown Santa Fe, NM is historic and quaint. Comfortable inns, local street vendors and artisan shops abound. The restaurants in the center of Santa Fe are also numerous and provide excellent cuisine in a range of prices. Available restaurants range from four-star fine dining establishments to casual and relaxed cafes. One interesting restaurant offers Broadway show tunes to complement its’ cuisine.

Torrino’s @ Home

Torrino’s @ Home is an Italian bistro and café that reminiscent of a small European street café. It is open for breakfast and lunch. Homemade Italian cuisine is served at small tables arranged in the walkways of an indoor shopping area. Orders are placed at the counter, from which the busy food preparation area is visible. Daily specials of moderate price are posted.

Il Vicino Wood Oven Pizza and Brewery

Il Vicino is a chain of contemporary Italian trattorias, one of which is located in Santa Fe. The menu includes handmade wood-oven pizzas, sandwiches, pastas and salads. Il Vicino is an excellent choice for a meal after a busy day. The eggplant parmesan in particular is excellent. The menu is large with selections for all tastes. The combination of good food and excellent service are most relaxing. All menu items are reasonably priced.

Plaza Café

The Plaza Café is Santa Fe’s oldest restaurant. The menu features traditional New Mexico cuisine and authentic Greek food. The Plaza Café has been owned by a Greek family since 1947. The food is homemade, excellent and very reasonably priced. The front windows look out on the central plaza. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the food. They are natives of the area and are ready to give day trip recommendations to visitors.

La Cantina

La Cantina is an experience. Northern Mexican cuisine is served with a healthy helping of Broadway musical. The wait staff and bartender break into song and dance from Broadway shows in between their duties serving excellent entrees, yummy desserts and the best made-from-scratch margaritas anywhere. The restaurant is understated elegance with comfortable chairs and booths. Prices range from moderate to expensive and reservations are recommended

The Pink Adobe

The Pink Adobe is over 50 years old and is a local landmark in Santa Fe. The building housing the restaurant is both pink and made of adobe; hence, the name. Inside, a cozy and warm atmosphere with burning fires makes for a quiet dinner. The food is excellent, although expensive. The price is consistent with the quality of the food. The wine list is expansive. The servers are knowledgeable about the food and wine.
